Got to witness and judge a wonderful musical competition ' Symphony ' organised
by Tilak public school Nerul. Write up in times and sakaal newspaper

Tilak Public School, Nerul, hosted "Symphony", an inter-school music competition on 19th October 2024, in honor of Late Smt. Sarada Kurup, the founder secretary of Tilak Education Society. Around 400 students from 50 schools participated, with students from classes V to XII competing in Semi-classical, Fusion, and Indian Folk/Regional categories.

The competition was divided into two groups: Group A (IX to XII) performed live music with bands, and Group B (V to VIII) performed with karaoke tracks. Dr. Ajit Kurup, Managing Director of Tilak Education Society, welcomed the participants and inaugurated the event.

The judges, Mrs. Deepa Subramanian, Mr. T. M Pawar, Mrs. Mayuri Kamath, and Mrs. Samata Modi, faced a tough challenge in selecting the winners. In Group A, DAV Public School, Nerul, won 1st prize, followed by New Horizon Public School, Panvel, and Bal Bharati Public School, Kharghar. In Group B, Gurukul International School, Badlapur, took 1st place, with Vibgyor High School, Airoli, and MNR School of Excellence, Kamothe, securing 2nd and 3rd prizes. Dr. Ajit Kurup felicitated the winners, and Mrs. Ruby Verghese, Principal of Tilak Public School, emphasized that Symphony was designed to boost students' confidence and help them prepare for the future.
